Example of Rotating a Probe

The following steps show an example of how to rotate a probe in the measurement routine running in PC-DMIS. This example assumes that the current A and B wrist angles are 0 degrees.

Select the A wrist angle to modify.

2.

Add 45 degrees to the A wrist angle.

3.

Toggle the wrist angle icons to negative degrees. (The three degree icons will change from positive to negative degrees.)

4.

Subtract 30 degrees from the A wrist angle, which changes to 15 degrees.

Select the B wrist angle to modify.

6.

Subtract 45 degrees from the B wrist angle, which changes to -45 degrees.

7.

Subtract another 45 degrees from the B wrist angle, which now changes to -90 degrees.

Warning: To prevent damage to the probe, ensure that it is clear of any obstacles before you tap this icon.

Rotate the probe to the selected A and B wrist angles.

9.

Rotate the probe to the selected A and B wrist angles, and then insert them into the measurement routine.
