PC-DMIS provides the ClearanceCube moves along with these additional commands to help you safely navigate around your part during execution:
Avoidance Move - Use Avoidance Move commands with Auto features to safely move to the next feature in your measurement routine. You can select the Avoidance Move command along the feature or tip vector direction.
Moveset command - The Moveset command is a set of move points. You must select the ClearanceCube for the Moveset command. Use this command to move the tip so that it is in front of the surface that is inside a complex geometry. You can also use this command at the beginning of a group and at the end of a group to bring the tip to the front of a part face where features are located.
Important Information When Using ClearanceCube
PC-DMIS supports using ClearanceCube only on single arm systems. It does not support ClearanceCube on Dual Arm systems.
When you activate ClearanceCube, PC-DMIS disables any Clearance Plane commands in the current measurement routine. You can only use Clearance Plane or ClearanceCube in a measurement routine.
Be sure to check for collisions before you execute your measurement routine. For more information, see "Detecting Collisions".
Make sure you place the probe tip outside the ClearanceCube before you start the execution of your measurement routine.
You can start execution or partial execution or block execution with the tip located inside the ClearanceCube if required. This can happen when execution stops due to a chip in a bore. You can clear the error and then continue execution of the measurement routine from where it stopped.
The width of ClearanceCube in any direction cannot be smaller than 1 mm. This helps you to ensure the correct definition of the ClearanceCube.
You must ensure the safe execution of a measurement routine, desired ClearanceCube motion settings, and scan command when you open a measurement routine created in a version before PC-DMIS 2023.2.
