Testing the IDS uEyePlus Camera

You can use the IDS Peak Cockpit utility to test uEyePlus digital cameras. The utility comes with the IDS Peak software installation.

To run the utility, do the following:

  1. Run the "IDS Peak Cockpit" utility. By default, it installs in the root of the IDS Peak software install location. You can find a shortcut to it in the program listing on your computer.

  2. Select Open Camera Manager from the toolbar in the IDS Peak Cockpit window.

  3. Double click the camera in the camera manager. A live image should appear. To see the image as configured for PC-DMIS, from the IDS Peak Cockpit window, do the following:

  1. Click the Stop continuous frame acquisition button.

  2. Click the Save/Load camera parameters button.

  3. Select the Load camera parameters from file option and then select the configuration file that is specified for the FrameGrabber_ConfigFile entry.
