ZEISSTC2

This probe changer requires no RS-232 communications port.

You can select this probe changer from the Probe Changer dialog box. This probe changer is supported on the VAST or MT scanning probe head.

The calibration for these requires two hits to establish the precise size of the probe being used (one hit with the tip and the other on the base plate). Afterward, each slot requires one hit in the special depression on the top of the slot.

Although the PC-DMIS configuration for the Vast and the MT are similar, the actual probe changers are physically different and require some different settings.

Common Settings

TCVerticalStroke = 8 - Vertical distance traveled after releasing probe.

TCLengthInFrontOfSlot = 150 - Distance in front of drop-off point that probe starts moving directly towards the slot.

TCLengthBackOutOfSlot = 85 - Distance from drop-off point that moves with docking speed.

The settings for the Vast probe changer are as follows:

(A) - Slot for calibration

[ZEISS]

TCLengthClearance = -63.4 - Position offset in length from measured.

TCVerticalClearance = -33.5 - Position offset in vertical from measured.

Settings for the MT Probe Changer

(A) - Slots for calibration

[ZEISS]

TCLengthClearance = 0 - Position offset in length from measured.

TCVerticalClearance = -23.5 - Position offset in vertical from measured. This still needs testing!
