K2002 is the description of the characteristic. To create the description with a GM-approved name, follow the rules below.
H_331__P_1_ABC_Knock Out sensor
Character 11 is an underscore.
The name of the coordinate system (ABC) appears after the underscore.
The character after the coordinate system name is an underscore.
The description of the hole (Knock Out sensor) appears after the underscore.
The converter reads the first five characters of the dimension name and then determines the ID of feature, such as: Hole 331
If character 11 is an underscore, the converter parses the string between the two underscores and writes it as:
ID CoordinateSystemName Description
The dimension name in the example above is decoded as:
Hole 331 ABC Knock out sensor
Applying the GM K2002 Rule
To apply the GM Rule, follow these steps:
From Q-DAS Configurator, in the Characteristics data area, select the row to apply the GM K2002 rule.
From the row that you selected, place the cursor in any cell for the K2002 column.
Right-click and select Apply Rule | GM Rule.
The GM rule applies to the selected row.
