This documentation covers how to use PC-DMIS Portable to measure features on a part with your portable measuring device. Portable devices are manually-operated measuring machines that are relatively easy to move to new locations due to their size and design. These are sometimes called "manual machines" or "hard probe machines" because they cannot run in DCC mode, nor do they have a touch-trigger mechanism to record hits.
