You can follow the procedures in this section to install PC-DMIS and configure your system to use the NX Direct CAD Interface.
NX used to be called Unigraphics.
Make sure you have full administrator rights before you proceed.
If you haven't already done so, install NX 8 or higher on the same computer that runs PC-DMIS. You may use either a floating (network) license or locked license to run the NX DCI. However, you must be able to run NX on the local machine in order for PC-DMIS to be able to interface with NX.
You must have, at minimum, the NX gateway. You need the solid_modeling and assemblies license features.
The DCI for legacy Planner requires the gateway, solid_modeling, assemblies, and drafting license features.
You can purchase any needed license features from NX (see http://www.unigraphics.com).
