To set the roughness parameters for the Roughness scan command (RGHSCN), select the Roughness tab in the Roughness Scan dialog box (Insert | Scan | Roughness):

To select roughness parameters based on the ISO 4288 and ISO 3274 standards, select the Select Measurement Parameters list. The parameters appear underneath the list. For example:

Standard button - To base the roughness parameters on the ISO 4288 and ISO 3274 standards, select this button. If you have selected the parameters based on the standards, you cannot modify the parameters.
Custom button - To enter custom roughness parameters, select this button.
The values for Evaluation Length / Ln and Traverse Length / Lt are calculated values. PC-DMIS displays an error if the traverse length exceeds the maximum traverse length. You can modify parameters, including the start point offset, to ensure that the traverse length does not exceed the maximum traverse length.
Link button - To link the values for the Pre-Travel Distance and Post-Travel Distance options, select this button. If the distances are linked, PC-DMIS sets them to the same value.
Unlink button - To unlink the values for the Pre-Travel Distance and Post-Travel Distance options and select different values, select this button.
