For many types of machines, PC-DMIS automatically inserts the TEMPCOMP temperature compensation command when you create a measurement routine. This provides you with the opportunity to set up a measurement routine for temperature compensation. The Temperature Compensation dialog box appears, and you need to select the material of the part.
If you want PC-DMIS to automatically insert the temperature compensation command into a new measurement routine, select the Auto Insert Temperature Compensation in New Routine check box on the General tab in the Setup Options dialog box (Edit | Preferences | Setup).
If you do not want PC-DMIS to automatically insert the temperature compensation command into a new measurement routine, clear this check box.
PC-DMIS does not automatically insert the temperature compensation command into a new measurement routine for the following items:
PC-DMIS NC software application
Dual-arm CMMs
Portable equipment
Non-Hexagon controllers
Machines with controllers that do not support temperature sensors
