Adding Pre-Execution Files to a Routine or Playlist

You can add files to support the execution of a measurement routine or multiple routines on a playlist. These files provide mounting information, operating instructions, or other information.

The files can be electronic document files, image files, audio files, video files, or any other files.

Prerequisites:
Setting Up for Local PC-DMIS Routines

To add files to a playlist, follow the instructions below, but instead of selecting a routine, select the playlist. If any routines in your playlist also have their own pre-execution files attached, Inspect does not show those pre-execution files.

Adding Files to a Routine on Your Computer

  1. From the Home screen, click Execute Routine to show the Parts screen.

  2. Double-click This PC.

  3. Double-click on a folder that contains the routine you want to execute.

  4. Select a routine to see its Details pane.

  1. From the Details pane, locate the Pre-Execution Files heading.

  2. Next to that heading, click Attach File to show the Select a file dialog box. You must run Inspect as an administrator to use this item. Otherwise, it is disabled.

  3. From the Select a file dialog box, locate the file to attach.

  4. Select the file, and click Open to attach the file to the routine. The file appears under the Pre-Execution Files heading in the Details pane. When you no longer need a file, you can click Remove File (Remove File) next to the file to remove it.
