The Parts Screen

The Parts screen shows all the measurement routines you can access. If you see This PC at the top of the screen and in the Tree View, then you can use this screen to navigate folders or measurement routines on your computer. An item under This PC can be either a folder or a file, just like inside Windows.

Windows folder - This icon indicates that the item on the screen is a local folder on your computer.

- This icon indicates that the product is a standalone PC-DMIS measurement routine that is on your local computer. If you have installed a PC-DMIS add-on for that routine, you can position your mouse pointer over that icon and execute the routine.

By default, Inspect shows the main routine folder for PC-DMIS routines. For example, for PC-DMIS 2020 R1, it shows the C:\Users\Public\Documents\Hexagon\PC-DMIS\2020 R1 folder.

You map to other folders from the Create New User Folder link on the Settings screen. For information, see "Setting Up for Local Routines".

Navigation Buttons

- This button returns the view on the Parts screen to the top-most folder. If you choose to view a product or sub folder, the screen has breadcrumb links to the right of this button. Those breadcrumb links can help you navigate the organizational structure of the items on the screen.

- This button moves the view on the Parts screen to a folder up one level above the current folder.
