Even if you don't have a metrology package installed, you can execute routines in Inspect with the Simulator add-on. This add-on lets you test or demo Inspect to see how it works.
From the Add-ons screen, install the Simulator add-on.
From the Settings screen, under the Simulator area, mark the Enabled check box.
Also, from the Settings screen, type the file type for your measurement routine in the Supported File Types box.
Mark any check boxes in the Simulator area that you want to use in your simulation.
From the Parts screen, select a routine and click Execute.
Follow the prompts to simulate an execution.
