New Users – A new interface license PCD_Interface.AllPortable is available and should be used for all new portable systems running PC-DMIS 2019 R1 or higher.
The license option allows you to select from a list of portable devices and connect to any supported device. Once you select a portable device, it becomes the default device until you change it. This can be done when PC-DMIS starts. For details, see "Environment Configurator" in the PC-DMIS Core documentation.
Existing Users – If you are an existing portable user running PC-DMIS versions earlier than 2019 R1, you have a license which can run only one specific portable machine interface (for example, RomerRDS, LeicaLMF).
After the installation of 2019 R1, the interface is automatically set to the original portable interface. You can change it from the Edit | Select Environment File menu option. To do this, you must have a valid SMA.
If you are an existing user, you can only run PC-DMIS versions older than 2019 R1 with your originally purchased device interface.
If you have a valid SMA, you can submit a request to add the "PCD_Interface.AllPortable" option to your license. This allows you to select the default device during installation.
