Similar to a playlist for music files, a playlist in Inspect is a collection of measurement routines that "play" (or execute) one after another.
You can create playlists from one or more measurement routines.
From the Parts screen, navigate to a folder that contains routines.
Select one or more routine tiles or a folder tile.
To select multiple tiles, you can press Shift + Click and Ctrl + Click.
If you selected more than one tile, the Details pane simplifies to show the number of selected items.
From the ... menu, on one of the selected tiles, choose Add to Playlist to access the playlist dialog box.
From the playlist dialog box, on the left pane, do the following:
Under Playlist Type, choose Routine or Pallet to define the type of playlist.
Click New Playlist. In the box under that, type the name for your playlist.
From the Routines tab, mark the check box for any routine you want to store in your playlist. You can use the icons at the bottom left of the list to clear all or select all. If you select a folder that also has routines in it, a small folder icon node appears in the list. You can click that node to select all routines under it.
If you chose a pallet playlist, the Pallet Layout tab appears. From the Pallet Layout tab, define your pallet. For more information, see "Creating a Pallet Playlist".
From the Execution Order tab, hover your mouse pointer over a routine, then click the up and down arrows () to arrange the execution order. Items in the list execute in a top-down order.
If you want to use trace fields to capture user input or other variable data to send to routines on your playlist, use the Trace Fields tab.
If you need to modify any settings, click the Settings tab and define your options.
If you need to add any pre-execution instructions for the playlist, click the playlist tile. Then in the Details pane, under Pre-Execution Files, click Attach File to add your instructions.
When you are done, click Save to store the playlist in the Playlist screen.
You can then execute the stored playlist.
