Prerequisites:
Place your pallet of parts where the CMM probe can measure each cell of
the grid.
Create the Pallet Playlist.
With a pallet playlist execution, your parts are set in a grid of cells made of columns and rows. If you have more than one routine in the playlist, when you start the execution, the software provides you with a drop-down list to choose which routines to execute in each cell of the playlist.
The general process for beginning execution is the same as "Executing a Playlist". The Playlist Execsution View (for pallets) appears on the Measure screen. For information on that view, see "The Playlist Execution View" topic.
If you use trace fields in your playlist, when the execution starts, Inspect shows the Pallet Execution Options screen so that you can define those variables. Inspect then copies the measurement routine to a temporary file in the C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Temp\Hexagon\Inspect\TempExecutionLocation.
Inspect modifies this temporary file with some commands in order to measure the correct part on the pallet. The parameters for those commands come from the pallet playlist's settings. These commands do the following:
They offset the part measurement.
They create references for any user-defined trace fields.
They create automatic trace fields that you can use.
