The Measure screen is available if you install the Measure add-on. With the Measure screen, you can measure a product (or part). Inspect accesses this screen when you click an execute button () on a routine. You can also get to the Measure screen if you click the arrow button () on the left sidebar.
During a typical execution of a single routine, the Measure screen shows the Measurement View (). This view contains these items:
At the top, the text shows the routine's name.
In the middle, a circle progress indicator shows the percent completed.
Beneath the circle progress indicator, there are instructions, status messages, and a time remaining estimate. The software calculates the time remaining estimate from previous executions of the same routine.
On the left, a thin sidebar that is specific to this window, provides buttons to show different views (such as the Live Image view).
On the top left, a Go to Backstage button () closes the Measure screen and returns Inspect to its previous view.
There's a thin left sidebar on the Measure screen that may contain these buttons:
Show the Measurement View - This button shows the standard progress indicator during execution.
Show the Results View - This button shows the Results View. It provides a summary of measurement results for the executed routine.
Show Playlist Execution - This button works with the Playlist add-on to show the Playlist Execution View so that you can see the progress of a regular playlist execution.
Show Playlist Execution (for pallet playlists) - This button works with the Playlist add-on to show the Playlist Execution View so that you can see the progress of a pallet playlist execution.
Show the Slideshow View - This button works with the Slideshow add-on to show the Slideshow tab during execution. Once you create a template, this displays a live report of slides as the measurement routine executes. Each slide contains one or more labels. The slides update with measurement data as PC-DMIS executes features and their corresponding dimensions. If you need to create a template, on the Slideshow tab, or from the Details pane, click the Create Template button.
Show the Pre-Execution Routine Files - This button shows the operator pre-execution files immediately prior to execution. These files typically show instructional or other information about the routine. You can upload these files from the Details pane. You can click Open in External Application () to open the file in the associated application.
Show the Vision View - This button works with PC-DMIS add-ons to show PC-DMIS Vision's Live Image view during execution. Your version of PC-DMIS must be configured with the proper probe and licenses for this button to appear.
Show the CAD View - This button works with PC-DMIS add-ons to show the PC-DMIS Graphic Display window view during execution. You can pan, zoom, and rotate this view, just like in PC-DMIS.
The execution toolbar is on the bottom of the screen. This toolbar area initially changes to yellow to display status messages while Inspect communicates with the server or your local computer to obtain the files to execute. Once it has the files, the execution toolbar changes to contain these buttons:
- This button erases hits. During manual mode operations, when you have to supply manual hits, you can click this button to delete the last hit from the hit buffer (list of temporary hits).
- This button pauses the execution and changes to the continue button.
- This button continues a paused execution. (This button is active only in DCC mode. In manual mode it remains inactive.)
- This button stops the execution altogether.
- This button takes a simulated nominal hit in manual mode. This appears if you are working in offline mode. It is hidden if you use an actual CMM. This progresses an execution of a measurement routine that expects a manual hit.
Re-measure - This button appears on the bottom bar. It may also appear during certain error conditions that interrupt a feature measurement. You can use this to re-measure a feature.
Done - This button may appear during certain CMM error conditions, such as during a PC-DMIS emergency error condition. This button informs Inspect that you are ready to continue after you have resolved the error condition on the CMM.
Once you finish measuring, the screen changes to the Results View.
