Defining Probes

One of the first steps in programming is to define which probe to use during the inspection process. Because probe definition and calibration processes are often different depending on your specific configuration of PC-DMIS, this information is instead covered in the documentation for your configuration. Consult the appropriate documentation below for information on setting up, calibrating, and using an appropriate probe for your specific situation:

You use the Probe Utilities dialog box to define probes. You can also manually define probes by editing the usrprobe.dat file.

Click this icon from the Wizards toolbar to access the PC-DMIS Probe Wizard.

You can use the Check Calibration Limits command to check for errors and raise alerts during execution. For more information on this command, see "About Check Calibration Limits" in the PC-DMIS Toolkit Modules documentation.

You can enable the Leg Collision check. For more information, see "CMM Limits area".
