The Nominal file (.nom) provides a nominal shape of one or more blade sections. PC-DMIS Blade uses this file to calculate nominal characteristics.
You can create a Nominal file as follows:
In PC-DMIS, you can use the Blade Nominals Editor command to generate a Nominal file from the surface CAD model of a blade. An example is shown below:

Use the PC-DMIS Blade interface:
Click Create | Nominal File to open the Save As dialog box.
Enter a file name and then click Save to open the Nominal File Editor dialog box. For details, see "Editing a Nominal File".
Use a CAD package to create the file. Many CAD packages have functions and macros that you can learn to do this function.
Use a text editor to manually create the file.
The syntax in the Nominal file is based on Nominal file keywords.
