Prerequisites:
Install the Barcode
add-on
Once the Barcode add-on is installed, you can associate a barcode with a measurement routine or playlist:
Run Inspect as an administrator.
From the Parts screen, select a playlist or measurement routine tile.
From the Details pane, under Barcode, click Learn Part to open the Scan Part dialog box.
You can use a barcode reader to scan the barcode to insert its value into the Scan or Paste ID box. If you don't have a barcode reader, you can also manually paste or type the barcode value.
Click Done to create the association. Inspect shows a brief green check mark and the word "Learned".
In the Details pane, the barcode icon under Barcode turns blue to indicate the association:
In addition, the routine or playlist tile shows a small overlay icon of a barcode in the top left to indicate the association:
You can now scan, paste, or type that barcode from the Scan Part button on the Home screen to access the measurement routine or playlist that is associated with that barcode.
