Four PC-DMIS Blade files are necessary to process one blade:
Flavor (.flv) - To create a Flavor file, click Create | Flavor File. To edit a file, click Edit | Flavor File.
Tolerance (.tol) - To create a Tolerance file, click Create | Tolerance File. To edit a file, click Edit | Tolerance File.
Nominal (.nom) - To create a Nominal file, click Create | Nominal File. To edit a file, click Edit | Nominal File.
Report (.rpt) - You cannot edit this file from PC-DMIS Blade. You should not edit it since it contains the actual measured data.
All of the files that are specified in the Report file (created by BladeRunner) define the analysis of a blade. These files (Nominal, Tolerance, and Flavor) open according to the names specified in the file. Therefore, the names in the file should be the full path. Or, the files should reside in the same directory as the Report file.
PC-DMIS Blade also uses these resource files:
Header (.hdr) - To create a Header file, click Create | Header File. To edit a file, click Edit | Header File.
Math (.mth) - To create a Math file, click Create | Math File. Or, click the Create Math File button on the Standard toolbar.
Reverse (.rev) - Use this file to convert a reverse engineer source file into a Nominal file.
Average (.avg) - Use this file to convert multiple average files into one Report file.
For more information about these files, see "Using Blade Files".
