Swift-Check Add-on - Installation Guide

Measurement Error / Checks Failing

  • Ensure you entered the correct length bar, ring, and sphere calibrated sizes; the correct CTE values; and the correct CMM accuracy on the Settings screen. For more information on how to set these values, see "Machine Settings".

  • Make sure that the probe tip and all the surfaces to be measured are clean.

  • Check that you assembled the probe correctly, recently calibrated it, and that probe calibration results were acceptable.

  • If you run the Length Bar routine to evaluate the squareness of the CMM axes, take care when you position the Swift-Check artifact in each of its different orientations. Try to position the plate so that it sits parallel to the machine axis that you are checking. If the plate is misaligned, it has a detrimental impact on the squareness check, as you are not getting the true squareness error.
