Calculations and Methods

The Flavor file provides keywords that tell PC-DMIS Blade to perform certain calculations using the associated methods. These calculation keywords follow the CALCS (N) entry. N represents the number of following lines that must contain a valid calculation name.

The methods and other calculation modifiers on the Calculations tab are not defined in the CALCS block. They are found in the following block, which represents calculation modifiers. Some calculations do not have any methods. Some have one set of methods, and some have two sets.

In the First Method and Second Method columns in the following tables, REPORT methods are shown in bold; they regard the convention or reporting style of the calculation. REFERENCE methods are not shown in bold; they regard the actual calculation method. The columns also indicate the default method for each calculation.

The topics in the Description column appear in the "Measuring Blade Parameters" chapter.

The tables list the methods for these blade parameters:

CONTARC and CONTARC2

--

Contour is evaluated over the LE, CV, and CC. There are two versions of each calculation so that evaluations can be done using two different fits. The fit and calculations are independent. You can perform the calculations against any kind of it.

CONTARCCV and CONTARCCV2

--

Contour is evaluated over the LE CV side zone. There are two versions of each calculation so that evaluations can be done using two different fits. The fit and calculations are independent. You can perform the calculations against any kind of it.

CONTARCCC and CONTARCCC2

Contour is evaluated over the LE CC side zone. There are two versions of each calculation so that evaluations can be done using two different fits. The fit and calculations are independent. You can perform the calculations against any kind of it.
